Honestly not that bad. I'm on PS4 and it seems to get me into and out of battle pretty quickly. But the longer I play Bannerlord, the more I think of it in terms of what more it could be. Perhaps that's unfair. But if you want true large scale battles, you'll have to go for bannerlord. I believe only 500 total troop can be active on a battlefield in console warband so large armies are split into a lot separate groups that spawn in as renforcemets.
